In addition to issues already covered by the persona walkthroughs, our findings were as follows:
- Some pages have a large number of buttons performing the same action for different pieces of information (e.g. viewing messages). The verbal output of text needs to be extended to provide contextual information for each button.
- The "Continue" button on input screens should be disabled if the user has not inputted anything, to prevent errors.
- The verbal output needs to make a distinction between buttons and text.
- When changing the date, on the confirmation screen the date is not in the same format.
- The green and red arrows for navigating forward and back can be seen even with very poor eyesight.
- The contrast between text and background was poorer with some colours (e.g. the pink buttons and darker blue backgrounds).
- The notification messages were not consistent across all changes (e.g. turning off security, or editing options).
- Some buttons were difficult to distinguish from each other, and should be placed further apart, or have some sort of unique feature (e.g. an image).
- Some of the options should be made contextual, as it is too time-consuming to discover where an option needs to change, and then go back to the settings section and change it (e.g. displaying values using certain units).
- Its difficult to tell the difference between "Go back" and "Back to main menu".
